Google is soon launching its own AI chatbot “Bard” after the success of OpenAI’s ChatGPT and subsequent investment from Microsoft.

Here are five key points:

  • Bard will be included into the Google search engine to assist with difficult searches.
  • Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, stressed Bard’s capacity to give up-to-date online replies.
  • It will be made accessible to product testers first, then to the general public in the next weeks.
  • Bard utilizes LaMDA, a big language model similar to ChatGPT’s.
  • LaMDA will also be made available to developers, creators, and enterprise users.

That was quick! Google is certainly feeling to pressure to deliver a product that can rival ChatGPT… but perhaps first mover’s advantage will be difficult to beat.
