3 things to know about DocsGPT
Doximity has released a beta version of a ChatGPT-powered application for clinicians, with the goal of simplifying administrative paperwork
Doximity, a digital platform for medical professionals, has launched a beta version of DocsGPT, a tool using artificial intelligence to help U.S.-based clinicians streamline time-consuming administrative tasks, including drafting and faxing pre-authorisation and appeal letters to insurers (yes… that’s still a major means of communication in healthcare).
Here are three key points:
- DocsGPT is an integration with ChatGPT, OpenAI’s large language model, that works with Doximity’s free fax service.
- The tool features a library of medical prompts that can generate text within your conversation with a chatbot (a similar experience to the regular ChatGPT).
- Doximity warns that the technology has obvious limitations and the system should be used judiciously.
I think that’s one of the most interesting use cases of ChatGPT thus far, and the tool could potentially become a productivity booster in the industry.
